Privacy Policy — Yogi Counter

App name: Yogi Counter
Package name: in.co.jvt.yogicounter
Developer / Publisher: JVT (jvt.co.in)

1. Introduction

Yogi Counter (“we”, “our”, or “the App”) is a yogic practice counting application published by JVT. This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles information when you use Yogi Counter on Android or other supported platforms.

By using Yogi Counter, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

2. Our privacy principle

Yogi Counter is designed to be private by default.

  • No user account or login is required
  • No advertisements
  • No analytics or tracking SDKs
  • No sale of personal data
  • Practice data stays on your device unless you choose to export or back it up yourself

3. Information we collect

3.1 Information stored only on your device

The App may store the following information locally on your device to provide core features:

  • Workout history (date/time, workout type, repetitions, sets, duration, pace, notes)
  • Goals, streaks, and achievements
  • App settings (theme, language, sound, haptic, Guided Sadhana options, reminders)
  • Optional backup files you create and save yourself

This data is stored using on-device storage technologies such as IndexedDB / local preferences. It is not automatically uploaded to our servers.

3.2 Information we do not collect

We do not collect, receive, or process:

  • Name, email, phone number, or account credentials
  • Precise location
  • Contacts, photos, or microphone/camera content for identity tracking
  • Advertising identifiers for ads
  • Analytics events, crash reports sent to third-party analytics providers, or marketing profiles
  • Payment card details inside the App (Google Play handles any Play purchases, if applicable)

3.3 Permissions

Depending on your device and settings, the App may request permissions such as:

  • Internet — used for optional platform functions (for example, opening the App from the store or loading local web assets in the app container). Core counting works offline.
  • Notifications — only if you enable reminders
  • Vibrate / haptics — only if haptic feedback is enabled

You can deny or revoke permissions in your device settings. Reminder features may not work without notification permission.

4. How we use information

Local on-device data is used only to:

  • Count and save your practice sessions
  • Show progress, goals, streaks, statistics, and achievements
  • Apply your preferences (language, theme, Guided Sadhana, audio/haptics)
  • Schedule optional practice reminders you configure
  • Create exports/backups when you choose

We do not use your practice data for advertising or cross-app tracking.

5. Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal practice data with third parties for advertising or analytics.

Data may leave your device only when you take an action, for example:

  • Exporting CSV / JSON / PDF files
  • Creating a local backup and saving/sharing that file
  • Using your device’s share sheet

Those files are then under your control (and subject to the privacy practices of any app or service you choose to share them with).

Google Play may process basic install/distribution data according to Google’s own policies when you download the App from the Play Store.

6. Data retention and deletion

Because practice data is stored on your device:

  • Data remains until you clear App data, uninstall the App, or delete records inside the App
  • Uninstalling Yogi Counter generally removes local App storage on that device
  • If you created backup/export files outside the App, delete those files separately

We do not maintain a cloud copy of your workout history.

7. Children’s privacy

Yogi Counter does not knowingly collect personal information from children. The App does not require account creation. If you are a parent/guardian and believe a child has provided personal information to us through other channels (for example, email support), contact us and we will help address the request.

8. Security

We design the App to keep data local. Device-level security (screen lock, OS updates, app permissions) remains important. No method of electronic storage is 100% secure, but we avoid unnecessary data transmission to reduce risk.

9. International users

Yogi Counter may be used in multiple countries. Because data is stored locally on your device, processing generally occurs on that device. If you contact us by email, your message will be processed where we operate support.

10. Third-party services

The App is intended to operate without third-party analytics or ad networks.

If you install Yogi Counter from Google Play, Google’s terms and privacy policy also apply to store-related activities (download, updates, Play services).

11. Your choices

You can:

  • Use the App fully offline for core counting features
  • Disable sound, haptics, reminders, and Guided Sadhana options in Settings
  • Export or back up data only when you choose
  • Clear App storage or uninstall to remove local data

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after updates means you accept the revised policy.
